There are so many things that I could teach my cat if he weren’t already fat. He’s highly food motivated and I could probably teach him to shake and lay down and sit upright if I could bribe him with treats. Sad for me, he’s been on this prescription diet for a year and hasn’t reached his goal weight. He’s in the 16lb range and they want him in the 13lb range. When we started, he was in the 20lb range. That’s still not enough weight loss for them to downgrade his condition on his veterinary charts to “heavy” instead of “obese”.

Bub is still “obese”.

I would very much like to teach him stuff. He’s five years old and I think it would be awesome.
