I’m going to come back to this when I get more information. I have 2 svelte females and 1 alpha male, weighing in at nearly 20 lbs. The idea of portion control also means keeping him from eating their food. We aren’t quite ready to take that one on yet. There is another choice that comes with 2 options.
Diet food:
Opt1)more fiber
Opt2)more protein
Currently we are taking this one with more fiber and the additive being cellulose. Cellulose is indigestible for most mammals because our system can’t break down the plant-derived fiber.
I’m not sure what’s best. He eats to eat. The girls only eat when hungry. Is this going to have a negative impact on the females? Would a higher protein food actually get him to consistently feel fuller more often?
I’m open to suggestion and interpretation.
